S · Attacker · Combo

Sosuke Aizen

[Standing at the Top]

Key actions
Standing at the Top raises Attack by 40% for 10 counts. Kyokasuigetsu is his physical Mortal Blow.
Initial innate ability
Field entry grants 22% Attack for 20 counts, but increases remaining team Switch cooldown by 12 counts.
Final upgrade — not assumed
Entry Attack rises to 34%; the remaining team Switch cooldown penalty falls to 7 counts.
Why this tier
Immediate offense with a simple entry-and-attack plan earns high priority when you can commit to a carry.
Limits and tradeoffs
S rank does not erase the initial 12-count switching penalty. He is less flexible for frequent support rotations; current banner access is not verified here.
Suggested partners
Rukia Kuchiki, Orihime Inoue. Theory-based pairings.

Ichigo Kurosaki

[Substitute Soul Reaper]

Key actions
The Resolve to Kill raises Attack by 40% for 10 counts. Getsugatensho deals Spiritual damage.
Initial innate ability
Arts 1 hits add 5% Attack per stack, up to 3 stacks, for 20 counts.
Final upgrade — not assumed
Arts 1 stacks become 6.5%, up to 4; Mortal Blow cooldown is reduced by 4 counts.
Why this tier
His initial damage setup follows ordinary Arts hits, making him an approachable carry to build around.
Limits and tradeoffs
Needs Arts 1 hits and time on field. His mixed Physical and Spiritual actions do not all benefit from Physical Defense reduction.
Suggested partners
Rukia Kuchiki, Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Theory-based pairings.

S · Supporter · Chain

Rukia Kuchiki

[Squad 13 Lieutenant]

Key actions
Bakudo #1: Sai applies Bind; Tsuginomai Hakuren applies Freeze. Her kit supplies ailments for her team-critical trigger.
Initial innate ability
Attacking an enemy with a Status Ailment grants the team 15% Critical Hit Rate for 20 counts.
Final upgrade — not assumed
The same trigger grants 25% team Critical Hit Rate and 6% Critical Damage.
Why this tier
Combines control and team offense, with an initial buff that can support several different carries.
Limits and tradeoffs
Requires an afflicted enemy and a follow-up attack. Do not assume her final buff or Spirit Abilities are already unlocked; resistant enemies may disrupt the plan.
Suggested partners
Toshiro Hitsugaya, Byakuya Kuchiki. Theory-based pairings.

S · Attacker · Combo

Toshiro Hitsugaya

[Squad 10 Captain]

Key actions
Youngest Captain raises Attack by 40% for 10 counts. Hyorinmaru has a 50% Freeze chance.
Initial innate ability
A Critical hit grants 16% Attack for 20 counts and has a 30% chance to apply Frostbite.
Final upgrade — not assumed
Critical-hit Attack increases to 24%, and the Frostbite chance becomes 100%.
Why this tier
A clear damage-and-control carry whose Critical trigger has natural partners among the launch supports.
Limits and tradeoffs
The initial Frostbite effect is not guaranteed. Critical support and enemy susceptibility matter; S rank is not a measured damage comparison.
Suggested partners
Rukia Kuchiki, Rangiku Matsumoto. Theory-based pairings.

Rangiku Matsumoto

[Squad 10 Lieutenant]

Key actions
Lieutenant’s Support gives 15% team Critical Hit Rate for 10 counts. Ash Tornado removes her own debuffs.
Initial innate ability
Returning to Standby gives 10% team Critical Hit Rate for 20 counts.
Final upgrade — not assumed
Adds a stronger Critical package, but exact values are pending confirmation: the English preview differs from Japanese and Traditional Chinese previews.
Why this tier
A straightforward Critical partner for Toshiro, with value tied to an intentional support-to-carry rotation.
Limits and tradeoffs
Standby timing matters. Do not total different buffs without checking their live stacking rules; final values are deliberately omitted because official pages conflict.
Suggested partners
Toshiro Hitsugaya, Ichigo Kurosaki. Theory-based pairings.

Initial innate ability

Why this tier
Ailments enable Rukia’s trigger, while Physical Defense reduction supports Physical actions such as Ichigo’s Arts 1.
Limits and tradeoffs
Initial Arts procs are probabilistic. His skill’s Physical Defense effect should not be treated as universal amplification for Spiritual attacks.
Suggested partners
Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki. Theory-based pairings.

Byakuya Kuchiki

[Squad 6 Captain]

Key actions
Bakudo #61: Rikujokoro applies Bind. Senbonzakura has a 50% chance to inflict Bleed.

Why this tier
Supplies both Bind and Bleed with a visible payoff for keeping an enemy afflicted.
Limits and tradeoffs
Bleed setup is not guaranteed on every hit. Shadow evasion rewards add execution demands and may be less useful against resistant enemies.
Suggested partners
Rukia Kuchiki, Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Theory-based pairings.

Orihime Inoue

Entry has a 30% chance to lower enemy Attack by 15% for 20 counts.
Final upgrade — not assumed
Entry debuff chance rises to 75%, and the Attack reduction becomes 25%.
Why this tier
Defensive utility can help a new account finish a fight when damage alone is not the problem.
Limits and tradeoffs
Official role is Debuffer, with defensive team utility. Her listed kit does not establish healing; the initial Attack debuff can miss and does not maximize clear speed.
Suggested partners
Ichigo Kurosaki, Yasutora Sado. Theory-based pairings.

A · Supporter · Shield

Yasutora Sado

[Brazo Derecho Del Gigante]

Key actions
A Life-Bound Promise grants 25% self Defense for 10 counts. El Directo removes his own debuffs. Shield Cover Change avoids triggering the outgoing ally’s Switch cooldown.
Initial innate ability
Entry grants 5% team damage for 20 counts, with an additional 3% damage when his HP is at most 75%.
Final upgrade — not assumed
Entry team damage rises to 8%, with additional low-HP bonuses at 75% and 50%.
Why this tier
Rated for team damage and cover utility, rather than only his personal durability. Useful when survival interrupts your carry’s offense.
Limits and tradeoffs
Low-HP bonuses are conditional. Do not deliberately lose health to chase them; cover utility does not prove a faster clear than offensive support.
Suggested partners
Ichigo Kurosaki, Orihime Inoue. Theory-based pairings.

Bambietta Basterbine

[Schrift "E"]

Why this tier
A coherent Burn-then-Arts-2 plan and an ailment option for Rukia teams.
Limits and tradeoffs
Ailment application and Clash execution add setup. Burn resistance reduces the value of her damage condition.
Suggested partners
Rukia Kuchiki, Renji Abarai. Theory-based pairings.

Initial innate ability
A successful counter reduces enemy Defense by 12% for 20 counts.
Final upgrade — not assumed
A counter reduces Defense by 20% and Attack by 9% for 20 counts.
Why this tier
Rewards counter-focused play with debuffs and can open ailment opportunities for Rukia.
Limits and tradeoffs
A failed or unavailable counter delays his main payoff. Clash Victory Rate is not a promise of winning every exchange.
Suggested partners
Bambietta Basterbine, Rukia Kuchiki. Theory-based pairings.

Yoruichi Shihoin

[Flash Master]

Key actions
First Battle in a Century seals enemy switching for 10 counts. Instant Kill inflicts Stagger.
Initial innate ability
Successful Vanishing Evasion adds 5% Attack per stack, up to 3 stacks, for 20 counts.
Final upgrade — not assumed
Each evasion stack grants 7% Attack and reduces current Mortal Blow cooldown by 3 counts.
Why this tier
An execution-based option for players who can turn evasion opportunities into offense.
Limits and tradeoffs
Switch denial has encounter-dependent value in PvE. She needs successful evasions; this beginner rating does not judge her PvP ceiling.
Suggested partners
Rukia Kuchiki, Rangiku Matsumoto. Theory-based pairings.

[Espada Number 6]

Absolute Powerhouse raises his Attack and Defense by 15% for 10 counts. Cero is a Spiritual Mortal Blow.
Initial innate ability
While he is afflicted with a Status Ailment, Attack increases by 15%.
Final upgrade — not assumed
The afflicted Attack bonus rises to 23%; an immobilizing ailment also grants an Arts 1 damage bonus.
Why this tier
Has a simple self-buff and can gain extra offense in encounters that regularly inflict ailments.
Limits and tradeoffs
His innate depends on a harmful state. Do not confuse ailments on enemies with ailments on Grimmjow, or seek incoming debuffs just to activate the bonus.
Suggested partners
Rangiku Matsumoto, Yasutora Sado. Theory-based pairings.

Why this tier
A ranged specialist with a defined risk-reward plan if you already enjoy his playstyle.
Limits and tradeoffs
Poison dependency and self damage make him a lower beginner investment priority. C rank does not mean unusable, nor that you should abandon a developed favorite.
Suggested partners
Yasutora Sado, Rangiku Matsumoto. Theory-based pairings.

Reroll priorities: when to keep your account

Aim for a workable core, not every S-tier character. One main attacker you enjoy plus a compatible support or debuffer is a reasonable stopping point for a new account. Check the exact version names above before comparing pulls.

  • Carry options: Ichigo offers an Arts-based ramp plan; Toshiro rewards Critical support; Aizen offers immediate offense but delays team switching on entry.
  • Partner priority: Rukia can support ailment-based teams. Rangiku complements Critical carries; Mayuri or Byakuya can help enable ailments. Orihime and Sado are options when survival is the obstacle.
  • Keep a functional carry-and-partner core if you are ready to play. Several compatible A-tier characters can be more useful to your account than an isolated S-tier pull.
  • Before spending currency, read your current in-game banner, reward notices and acquisition rules. This guide does not verify current banner availability, free units, rates or guaranteed pulls.

No account-deletion or app-data-reset method is verified here. Protect an account you want to keep and follow the game’s current account guidance before attempting another start.

Three-character team ideas

Theory-based teams, not tested clears or fastest-clear claims. Use the exact versions listed above; enemy resistance and your unlocked abilities can change the plan.

Accessible damage and ailment setup

Ichigo Kurosaki / Rukia Kuchiki / Mayuri Kurotsuchi

Synergy
Mayuri supplies Poison and Defense debuffs; Rukia can turn attacks against afflicted enemies into team Critical support. Ichigo supplies the carry plan.
Suggested sequence
Attempt Poison with Mayuri’s Arts, then use his skill against a Poisoned target. Let Rukia attack an afflicted enemy before giving Ichigo field time to build Arts 1 stacks and use his Attack skill. Adapt to available cards and Switch cooldowns.
When to use
General PvE against enemies susceptible to ailments. Mayuri’s Physical Defense skill helps Ichigo’s Physical Arts 1, not every action in the team.
Alternatives
Byakuya can replace Mayuri as a different ailment enabler; the Physical Defense plan becomes a Bleed/Bind plan. Use Orihime if surviving is the immediate barrier.

Critical and frost setup

Toshiro Hitsugaya / Rukia Kuchiki / Rangiku Matsumoto

Synergy
Rangiku offers Critical support, Toshiro rewards Critical hits, and Rukia benefits from afflicted enemies. This is a conditional loop, not guaranteed permanent Freeze.
Suggested sequence
Use Rangiku’s team skill and return her to Standby. Use Rukia to apply an ailment and attack an afflicted enemy, then switch to Toshiro for his skill and offense when cooldowns allow.
When to use
Ailment-susceptible stages where you can maintain a support-to-carry rotation. Initial Frostbite remains probabilistic.
Alternatives
Use Ichigo instead of Toshiro for a simpler Arts-based carry. Replace one support with Orihime when defensive utility matters more than Critical setup.

Survival-first progression

Ichigo Kurosaki / Orihime Inoue / Yasutora Sado

Synergy
Orihime lowers incoming pressure while Sado contributes cover utility and team damage. Ichigo remains the main damage investment.
Suggested sequence
Prepare Orihime’s defensive effects before dangerous enemy pressure when cards allow. Use Sado’s Cover Change to protect the carry, then return to Ichigo and build Arts 1 stacks when safe.
When to use
Progression fights lost to incoming damage. It is not a healing team or a fastest-clear recommendation.
Alternatives
Swap Orihime or Sado for Rukia after survival stabilizes. Do not intentionally lower Sado’s HP to chase conditional bonuses.

Beginner upgrade order

  • Choose one main attacker and invest in the levels and offensive actions you actually use before spreading resources across several carries.
  • Build the partner that enables your carry’s condition: ailment access for Rukia, Critical support for Toshiro, or cover and mitigation if you cannot survive the stage.
  • Review Initial innate effects first. Final upgrades and Spirit Abilities are separate unlocks; check their live costs and requirements before committing scarce resources.
  • Upgrade the third slot to solve the encounter’s current problem. Do not discard a developed favorite solely because another character sits a tier higher.

Team suggestions are starting points. Enemy resistance, available cards, Switch cooldowns and your unlocked effects can change the best rotation. PvP is outside this ranking’s scope.

Ranking method, sources and updates

S means prioritize a core role; A means a strong partner or targeted pick; B means more setup or execution; C means lower beginner priority. There is no ordering within a tier. These are kit-based investment judgments for beginner PvE, not statistical scores.

We prioritize accessible Initial effects, ease of activation, team value and practical drawbacks. Final effects are shown for context and do not define the assumed starting build. A damage buff alone does not establish real DPS or prove that separate buffs stack.

Roster coverage: the 13 versions in the official release lineup plus [Standing at the Top] Sosuke Aizen. Story appearances without verifiable combat kits are excluded.

Each character card links directly to its Bandai Namco kit. The official website describes three-character teams and strategic Action Card combat. Official kit pages are development previews and warn that content may change.
